Family restaurants in Portugal and cuisine
Portugal offers a very good variety when it comes to food and is often confused with Spanish food. Portuguese cuisine uses simple ingredients based around regional produce including fish, meat, olive oil, tomato, and spices that are magnificently prepared. Homemade fresh bread and cheeses, as well as unexpected combinations of meat and shellfish feature often on traditional menus. Most important - In Portugal never eat with your hands. Even fruit and cheese is eaten with utensils; making it a great opportunity for younger toddlers to practice their culinary good manners! Or at least try to!
