When on holidays with your family it is best to go for hotels with a children’s club. It’s a Two Way Street; as kids do also like a break from parents! Honest! Look for inclusions like a kid’s playground, mini golf, games room and of course a kid’s pool! Baby sitting services would be very nice; you may just like a romantic night out on the town! Self-catering is always a good option to also keep in mind when the kids are in tow! Family restaurants in Algarve and cuisine
Cuisine in the Algarve is impressive with a variety of dishes to tempt your taste buds including fish and shellfish as well as a variety of meat and game dishes. Outside culinary influences are very few with traditional home cooking fundamentally significant as traditional recipes have been passed down throughout the years. Stews are also an important part of the local diet. After tucking into a warming “feijoada” (bean stew) or “caldeirada” (fish stew); wash it all down with a drop of locally produced “aguardente”. This potent spirit is known as “medronho”, and is made from fruit of the arbutus tree growing in the Monchique hills. Cheers! Perhaps it’s best to keep a handy supply of sausages, cheese and fruit for those children that just don’t appreciate “feijoada” or “caldeirada”!
