The Magic Kingdom is well named as it provides a magical memorable experience for everyone, especially for little ones who have not yet lost that bit of stardust in their eyes. Radiating out from Cinderella’s castle are themed lands, providing every kind of superbly orchestrated attraction. Fantasyland is the most popular for the under-fives with Mickey’s Toontown a close second. Older children will mainly enjoy Frontierland Tomorrowland and Adventureland, whereas the whole family can enjoy Main Street USA, and its wonderful parades. Mickey’s PhilharMagic  Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a mesmerizing 3D show with all your favourite Disney cartoon characters as the actors. You don’t need any special glasses because you are almost surrounded by one of the largest seamless screens in the world. Imagine Pixar with better images and complete with smells! The story is loosely based on the Disney film ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ but this time it is Donald Duck who causes absolute chaos and we are swept away with him in a whirlwind of special effects through a series of animated scenes. You will love your magic carpet ride with Aladdin and your flight over London with Peter Pan and so will the kids whatever their age. Explore Magic Kingdom > Monsters Inc Laugh Floor Monsters Inc Laugh Floor is a live comedy show with a difference. It is conducted by a wisecracking Master of Ceremonies, who uses both monsters and members of the audience to provide the entertainment material. The monsters appear on screen and by using clever live actor-dubbing techniques they single out and joke with selected viewers. A good part of the entertainment is to watch the reactions of people who are picked out to take part. But be warned it may be you! If you want to improve your chances of being chosen sit near the centre aisle, otherwise just enjoy this highly unusual but extremely entertaining show from the sidelines. The theatre is quite big so there is usually never a long wait to get in. Explore Magic Kingdom > The Magic Kingdom Mountains The Magic Kingdom Mountains are not as extensive as the Alps but they are a lot more fun for kids. In fact there are only three of them, Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. Thunder Mountain is a runaway roller coaster ride through deserted gold mines, mining towns and deserts. The swerves and drops are not really scary so it’s suitable for all the family with very young children on board. Splash Mountain naturally features quite a lot of hurtling through water and there is one very long drop, so not so good for the little ones although great for older ones. Similarly Space Mountain, which launches you into the inky darkness of outer space on a monorail, is great fun but a little scary for very young children. Explore Magic Kingdom >  Pirates of the Caribbean-Adventure LandPirates of the Caribbean-Adventure Land provides a close up and personal look at all the favourite characters from this most popular film series. Join the action with a boat trip through a series of underground caverns populated with animatronic buccaneer, who carry on with their dastardly pirate activities as though you aren’t there. There are battles galore with seemingly real cannon balls whistling through the air and you can watch as Captain Jack fights heroically with his archenemy, the utterly evil Barbarossa. This attraction has recently been upgraded and some of the new effects like the Smokey Waterfall and the soundtrack are really amazing. Explore Magic Kingdom > Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin ‘Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin’ is a bit like being inside a computer game with the targets you are shooting at all around you instead of on a screen. You get on your ‘space-ship’, which is on a continually moving ramp, and are transported into an alternate universe where you have to stop an evil cosmic emperor from taking control. You do this by using your infinitely adjustable joystick with laser gun (there are two of these per ship) to blow up a great variety of fast moving targets.
