It is no wonder that the family holiday cottages at Beech Farm, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, have been awarded 5* by the English Tourism Council for their standard of ...
excellence. The cottage interiors are just outstanding and they come with so many super extras. The large heated indoor pool has got to be top of the list particularly in our iffy climate. Children will also like the llamas, Shetland pony and horses in the paddock, not to mention the numerous ducks, hens etc. Of course there’s also a well equipped play area and lots of space for the kids to run around in the safe fenced meadow. Being right on the edge of a National Park means it’s so easy to plan some countryside walks and there’s a lovely village pub within walking distance after you’ve done all that exercise! It’s also very convenient for family days out as it is virtually equidistant between the many seaside attractions of Scarborough and the historic sights and child friendly museums of York. ACCOMMODATION - Beech Royd is attached to the old farmhouse and has lots of space and character and provides very comfortable accommodation on three floors and has been awarded the E.T.C. ‘5 Star’ standard. On the ground floor is a large living room with dining area and a fully fitted modern kitchen. On the first floor are a double bedroom with 5ft bed and a bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. The second floor has a twin bedroom. FOR KIDS - Baby and toddler friendly cottages offer excellent facilities and information for families and meet child safety guidelines. Properties have a cot, high chair, stair gate if necessary and a microwave. Suggestions are given for playgrounds, soft play centres, beaches and child friendly places to eat nearby. A list is also provided with information about the nearest chemist, doctor, supermarket and delivery services.
