excellence. The cottage interiors are just outstanding and they come with so many super extras. The large heated indoor pool has got to be top of the list particularly in our iffy climate. Children will also like the llamas, Shetland pony and horses in the paddock, not to mention the numerous ducks, hens etc. Of course there’s also a well equipped play area and lots of space for the kids to run around in the safe fenced meadow. Being right on the edge of a National Park means it’s so easy to plan some countryside walks and there’s a lovely village pub within walking distance after you’ve done all that exercise! It’s also very convenient for family days out as it is virtually equidistant between the many seaside attractions of Scarborough and the historic sights and child friendly museums of York. ACCOMMODATION – Backen Brow is a charming rose covered stone cottage sleeping up to 6 people. It’s in the centre of the main row of cottages and has been awarded the E.T.C. ‘5 Star’ standard. The entrance hall has under stair storage, a cloakroom and toilet. Living room is comfortably furnished with a wood burner and a fully fitted, well-equipped pine kitchen has a dining area. On the first floor is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom and toilet. FOR KIDS - Baby and toddler friendly cottages offer excellent facilities and information for families and meet child safety guidelines. Properties have a cot, high chair, stair gate if necessary and a microwave. Suggestions are given for playgrounds, soft play centres, beaches and child friendly places to eat nearby. A list is also provided with information about the nearest chemist, doctor, supermarket and delivery services.
