excellence. The cottage interiors are just outstanding and they come with so many super extras. The large heated indoor pool has got to be top of the list particularly in our iffy climate. Children will also like the llamas, Shetland pony and horses in the paddock, not to mention the numerous ducks, hens etc. Of course there’s also a well equipped play area and lots of space for the kids to run around in the safe fenced meadow. Being right on the edge of a National Park means it’s so easy to plan some countryside walks and there’s a lovely village pub within walking distance after you’ve done all that exercise! It’s also very convenient for family days out as it is virtually equidistant between the many seaside attractions of Scarborough and the historic sights and child friendly museums of York. ACCOMMODATION – Shepherd’s Lodge is a spacious brick and stone property with five bedrooms and four bathrooms. A covered patio leads to the entrance and a fully equipped large kitchen. Dining room, living room with a second entrance and a small cosy sitting room. One the first floor are three double bedrooms, two with ensuite shower room and toilet. Also two twin bedrooms a large bathroom and toilet and a shower room and toilet. Covered patio has garden furniture. FOR KIDS - Baby and toddler friendly cottages offer excellent facilities and information for families and meet child safety guidelines. Properties have a cot, high chair, stair gate if necessary and a microwave. Suggestions are given for playgrounds, soft play centres, beaches and child friendly places to eat nearby. A list is also provided with information about the nearest chemist, doctor, supermarket and delivery services.
