A hidden gem, The National Trust might not be the first place you would look for a self catering cottage but I have to pass on my discovery. This place is massive it was incredibly reasonable the same price as a static caravan at the time we stayed. It has beds for six people and a travel cot but had to take linen for the cot and also provide a highchair. We took a stairgate but did request that it could be something else they add. On arrival we were greeted with welsh cakes, fresh flowers and everything to have tea. I packed half the house from experience but everything was there from dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid and there was a washing machine very important with a one year old! The kitchen had enough crockery you could throw a dinner party, I was thoroughly impressed. You are less than a mile from the beach and stores and you can access the Colby Woodland Gardens out of hours which made for some lovely evenings exploring. The tea shop has the most amazing cream teas and there are so many places within the hour to visit that a week just wasn't long enough. Probably won't be able to book again now I've told everyone but its to good to keep to myself.
