Noah's Ark Zoo Farm overview

No they don't have two of everything but they certainly have all the big ones in this really huge zoo/ farm/ game park. There are Rhinos, Giraffe, Zebra, Gibbons, Reptiles, Deer and Camels and a ... great variety of smaller animals that can be fed, held or stroked. When the kids have finished admiring or feeding the animals, there's lots more on offer; the longest hedge maze in the World, massive indoor and outdoor adventure playgrounds and tractor rides. Check before you go for the timing of talks and animal feeding times.

Good place to go even in winter

We went to Noah's Ark zoo farm on a wet and wintry day and despite being off peak (tractor rides not running etc) we had a great day and there are really good facilities thanks to 'Arkiventures' - an indoor area with trampolines, climbing frames, ride on tractors etc, and a large soft play area. I feel they cater really well for every age from babies to far older children, as there are more challenging slides and equipment. The animals have a lot of space, and its rural location mean it's spacious for visitors. Will definitely visit again many times. Cafe also good, healthy food options plentiful and most importantly, well heated in winter! :-)

Nice day

We came here a couple years back when the oldest of our kids was three, and our youngest in a buggy. I sometimes find through visiting so many farm parks they all blend into one memory, but the thing that my son liked most about this place was the water splash area. In the summer this area would be brilliant if you take a change of clothes. There are stepping stones through water, with jets that spring out at the kids and make them squeal with laughter. As we visited in the middle of October it was a case of donning the wellies, trying not to get wet, and dodging the jets of water as it was a bitterly cold day. As we visited during term time it was very quiet, unless it was just because it was a cold October day. The cafe was brilliant, we had hot, fresh jacket potatoes which were lovely. The staff were friendly, and the eatery clean and fresh. The centre put on tractor rides which (because of a tv crew using it) weren't operating on the day we went. The only down side I can see, is I think the owners are quite religious, and there were LOADS of signs/posters etc., even on animal stalls telling you of the virtues of the Lord. I am not particularly religious, and am not an aethiest, but I didn't really want to read about it while I was walking around looking at animals with my kids and parents. When we went they were just introducing tigers and other big cats, I don't know if this has been developed now. The toilets are a bit primative as they are in an old shed type thing, but did the job including baby changing. I would return here now the kids are a bit older. Worth a look.

Noah's Ark Zoo Farm

Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm in Bristol is a cross between a farm and a zoo and it seems to have something for everyone, we visited last year with 5 children ranging from 1-12 in age and they all enjoyed it. There are lots of animals to see including, Giraffes, Rhinos and Tigers. There are also plenty of play areas for children (I think they have 12 in total!) including the ‘Indoor Arkiventures’ which was the favourite of the children we were with as it has climbing frames, slides and swings – it was also a favourite amongst the adults as we could have a coffee whilst they were running around!

Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is a great place to take kids as it has a bit of everything. They have over 100 different types of animals to see including giraffes, Zebras and Lions. They also have a petting area where children can experience the animals ‘hands on’ getting close to creatures such as rabbits, deers and camels. There are outdoor and indoor play areas, with a huge slide in the indoor one and there is also a splash pool where you can get a little wet. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and lots of toilets and baby changing facilities available.
