Description:
The great attraction of this forest, apart from it being a little closer than the Amazonion one, is that the kids can walk through it. On display along its seemingly natural paths are swinging monkeys, fluttering butterflies, giant water lilies in their green ponds and hanging orchids. It is all quite beautiful and is geared to explain to children how this fragile and fascinating ecosystem works. You will enjoy it too!

The journey from London seemed to take longer than the Tropical Rainforest themselves would have you believe. However, once we were there it was excellent - an opportunity for kids to see lots tropical plants (they were fascinated with the banana and cocoa trees) and small tropical animals (terrapins, fish etc), a good café that caters for children and an interactive area where the kids can do colouring in, play with computers, fossils and pretend animals depending on their age. We went on a wet day, so maybe it was muddier than usual but my kids came back filthy, so I would definitely suggest old clothes for toddlers who may decide to lie on the floor or kids that may fall over, and old shoes for all!
