Bucklebury Farm Park overview
Bucklebury Farm Park is set in beautiful Berkshire countryside between Reading and Newbury. Your children can see the farm animals including pigs, goats, sheep, donkeys, Shetland ponies and chickens ...
and buy feed to give to them. Wild boar and a llama also live with the animals. Children can feed and stroke the rabbits and guinea pigs in the ‘pat-a-pet’ area. In spring, Bucklebury Farm Park looks after lambs, which have been neglected, by their mothers and children can help feed them. There are tractor trailer rides around the fields where four different types of deer live and the tractor stops so visitors can feed the deer. There is a large outdoor play area, an indoor play area and hot and cold snacks are available. You can go on nature walks in the woods and go on a Deer Safari, which is booked separately and has an additional charge. Bucklebury Farm Park also runs birthday parties and has special events at peak holiday times, check the website for details. Closed in the winter – November to February.
BuckleBury Farm Park with 4 and 5 year old boys

We were invited here as for a TRU Toyologist event, so we didnt pay to get in, but we had a fantastic day. The boys adored the jumping pillow, as did I and we had so much fun on it. The zip wire was a great big hit too.
There is an indoor slide area too and Mini was on the death slide pretty immediatly and nagged until mummy had a go too.
We did a deer feed as a family too and the boys marvelled over the anterlers.
They enjoyed feeding the pigs and other animals too.
We4 felt that this had just the right balance between aninals and other things to do and although it was summer holidays, it was pretty quiet and low key. We had a great time

We love it!

Bucklebury Farm Park is our favourite place to go. My daughter is 2, and she loves feeding the animals, collecting eggs etc. The playground has some old tractors and a combine harvester slide. We spend a good 2hrs just in the playground. Very lovely family that run the farm. We've been a few times and still not done everything - but thats probably because my daughter's still quite little.

Great for young children to meet animals

Bucklebury Farm Park is great for young children because they can get up close to the animals and feed them if they’re feeling brave enough. There are plenty of places for your children to wash their hands if you’re worried about hygiene. The play areas are popular and there are some old tractors to climb on as well as lots of sit and ride toys. The tractor and trailer ride around the deer park is great fun, especially when it stops so you can feed the deer. There is no extra charge for the tractor and trailer ride. There isn’t quite enough here for a full day out, but it’s very enjoyable for a morning or afternoon. One of the play areas is indoors, but it’s best to visit when the weather is dry.
