Cambridge Corn Exchange overview
The Cambridge Corn Exchange, in conjunction with Cambridge City Council’s events department, provides a complete Arts and Entertainment Service.
Initially, as the name suggests, the building was ...
a corn exchange, and was converted into a concert hall which officially opened in 1986. Major refurbishment in 2006 ensured that The Cambridge Corn Exchange held its place amongst one of the top venues in Cambridge. The Theatre has hosted many famous artistes over the years, entertaining audiences with a diverse range of performances including classical concerts, operas, ballets, musicals, comedy and drama. Ideally located in the city centre, it is easy to combine a trip to the Cambridge Corn Exchange, with a meal out in one of the many restaurants in Cambridge, or a visit to one of the many places of interest in Cambridge.
Fantastic theatre.

We have had many wonderful evenings at the Corn Exchange over the years, both with and without children! There is a fantastic programme on offer, so you really can pick and choose. We have seen many touring productions at the Corn Exchange – so much easier than going into London’s West End. We have seen Grease, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Rocky Horror Show, Scooby Doo, shows on ice, classical concerts, pantomimes, etc. etc. etc! There is always something on for the children in peak holiday periods, and for some of the bigger shows, the production may actually audition children from local dance schools or drama groups to take part and provide chorus, etc.
