interest in planes and the history of flight, then they will be well rewarded with the wide range of aircraft and aviation memorabilia on display, from the earliest days of powered flight through to those used in the Gulf Wars. The museum contains a goodly array of exhibits recovered from aircraft ‘digs’ in the surrounding area. The highlight being the cockpit from one of the MiG-29s, which collided at RAF Fairford in 1995. All the aircraft cockpits are open for inspection when weather permits.
