Mawgan Porth Beach, Near Newquay

We had a few days at Mawgan Porth when we stayed in the Bedruthan Steps Hotel which is immediately behind the beach. We visited in winter, so we took to the beach with our two year old for some cold fun. It was lovely, we went down a couple of times and spent time looking for shells and crabs (we didn't find any) and peeping into coves. Our son loved it, we were hunting pirates and running about splashing, it was simple free fun. We loved it. We had a warm bath to get toasty again when we got in but it was well worth getting cold for. There is a pub just across the road from the beach as well as a cafe and some shops. A lot of it was closed during the time we were there, I expect for winter, but would be a lovely little spot during the summer. Love it here.
