House of Marbles overview

You must have a bag of them somewhere and you may even be able to recognize them amongst the vast collection on display here. The House of Marbles and Teign Valley Glass factory offers games for the ... kids, some with marbles of course, a food hall and interesting shops. As well as demonstrations of glass making and a beautiful museum of glass objects to visit.

House of Marbles

The House of Marbles in Devon was a surprisingly interesting place to take our children. We went under the assumption that we would find a tearoom and a shop and instead found those things but also much more. There is a marble museum where you can play with some of the marble runs and watch the world’s largest marble run at work – my son wanted to stay for hours to look at this. You can also see craftsmen at work blowing glass and there is an outside Games Garden where you can play skittles and chess. The aforementioned tearoom and shops were also very nice. We spent a lot longer there than we expected and really enjoyed our visit.
