Harold Wood Park overview

Harold Wood Park, just off of Squirrels Heath Road, is one of the larger parks in Havering and in 2009 it won a Green Flag award, which recognizes and rewards the best green spaces in the country. ... The park has its own car park and there is also parking available in the nearby streets. There are a number of grassy areas in the park, pitches for football and cricket and a tennis court. A large fenced off children’s play area has swings, slides, climbing frames and a roundabout. There is also an outdoor gym equipment area for those who like doing exercise. There are public toilets in the park and there is often an ice cream van selling cold drinks and ice creams. There are no other refreshment facilities in the park but there are a number of shops a short distance away where you can buy drinks and snacks.

Harold Wood Park is situated off of Squirrels Heath Road in Harold Wood near Romford and is a great place for children. It is a very large park and was the winner of a ‘Green Flag’ in 2009. There are a number of playing fields with facilities for football and cricket and there are also tennis courts. There is a large children’s play area with swings, slides and climbing areas and an area with outdoor gym equipment. There is also a multi use ball court and a place where children can use skateboards or roller skates. You can spend a whole day here with plenty to do.
