Lakeside Shopping Centre overview

shops! ‘Little Lake Monsters Club’ for children arranges fun events during the school holidays, where kids can join in with arts and crafts activities and take part in games and family events. For the little ones there’s a weekly playtime at the Early Learning Centre on Tuesday mornings for children over 18 months. There is a lake next to the shopping centre (hence the name!) where visitors can have boat rides and even take diving lessons. The Vue Cinema shows all the very latest films and with some great choices for all ages. The two main eating areas are the food court on level three of the shopping centre and the recently added boardwalk, with many popular child friendly restaurants like Wagamama and Giraffe. There are plenty of car parks all around the shopping centre and space for 13,000 cars.

The Lakeside Shopping Centre in Thurrock Essex is a surprisingly fun place to take children. There are shops and a cinema for older children and a number of facilities for younger children, including ‘Partyman World of Play’ where you can drop your children off to play in the indoor play area and be looked after whilst you shop. There is also the Lakeside Little Lake Monster Club which provides fun and games and competitions for children visiting Lakeside and which organises events that they can attend such as the Early Learning Centre Playtime which takes place every Tuesday from 10-12.
