Great for introducing the kids to arena performances

I have been going the the Manchester arena since I was a small girl myself, back when it was called the MEN and the NYNEX. It's absolutely huge for an indoor arena, but that's what makes it so great for kids. The fact that it is indoors means that you are not braving all weathers with the brood and that you're warm and comfy, ready to enjoy a concert experience. Toilets are good and there are a lot of them but if you have small children, make an escape for the intervals start because you will not get to the toilet quickly during a concert break, especially the ladies - the queues are ridiculous. The arena sells beer and various alcopops (but not always during children's performances) as well as soft drinks, hot and cold snacks and TONS of merchandise stalls, which will, without a doubt, skint you. Great arena, fab atmosphere, we love it.
