Aldenham Country Park overview
Most famous for being home to Winnie the Pooh's '100 Aker Wood', Aldenham Country Park relaunched under new ownership in April 2012. There are picnic areas, an adventure playground and a toddlers' ...
play area and soon you can expect British breeds of sheep and pigs as well as Norfolk Black turkeys to arrive. There will be regular family fitness fun, woodland adventures, and food and craft markets too. Admission is free and the good news is that the parking charge has now been reduced to £3.50. The extensive parkland with its open water provides a lovely setting for a great day out for everyone.

Aldenham Country Park is a full on day out, you can visit the farm, go on the fantastic child play area/ assault course, wander around the lake and visit '100 Aker Wood' with its Pooh Bear trees. There is also a cafe equipped to cater for the lollipop loving toddler.
We always enjoy our trips here, although at £5 to park the car its not the cheap day out you might first think. You can take the buggy around a lot of it. '100 aker wood' is the main draw for kids and is frankly disappointing being a big field with a few trees around it with Pooh related signage. Its also quite a challenge to get the buggy around.
However the walk around the lake is lovely and the playgrounds and farm fantastic.
