Summer Arcade, Shanklin

We popped into the summer arcade after over-hearing it was "a lot better" than another large arcade on the Isle. What fun we all had. The large indoor playcenter was also the main reason for our visit. It is open 7 days a week even during low season. For a small fee children could have use of the multi activity play are for an unlimited amount of time. Our young sone loved it! Ball pools, slides, turn tables and tunnels there was plenty to keep him happy all day and it was all quite easy for him to get around without mummy & daddy's assistance. Forsu there was a small refreshments counter with seating by the play area where we could keep a watchful eye on our son via the many tv monitors without having to hover or follow him in (untill he made us!) The arcade itself had many good slot machines including my favourite, 2p machines! There are many coin ooperated ride ons an simulator rides. For a small fee there is also ten pin bowling, adventre mini golf and mini go karts. We also found all the members of staff we encountered very helpful and friendly and great with children. Adequate facilites including cafe - snack bar, with outdoor seating facing the beach, and toilet faclilites. There are many pay and display parking spaces nearby, on theesplenade or in a car park. Good fun for us all rain or shine! Definite one for your list if its too cold for the beach.
