Convenient and exciting for children

For as far as local theatre/concert halls go, the King George's Hall is definitely large enough to get little kids really excited. In the last year we have seen the 'Little Big Club' and Cinderella perform at the hall. Both of which were world's apart in differences. The hall has a unique charm of being able to carry a pop concert (ie. Little Big Club) as well as a play or more delicate type of performance. Staff are always really helpful, a few of them are volunteers who want to work for the hall and so are really enthusiastic about being there - it really rubs off on the customers. Concerts, gigs and plays are frequent, so it's worth checking their website to keep up to date. Tickets are usually no more than £15. As well as the traditional child performances, as mentioned earlier, the concert hall is also great for teenagers and older children. Diana Vickers (X-Factor) and many other "trendy" acts have performed there in the last year alone, as well as comedians such as Al Murray and John Bishop which are hits with the teens. Toilets are clean, well maintained and there are changing facilities but they aren't particularly well located. Refreshments are available from kiosks and there are numerous fully licensed bars.
