Twinlakes Park overview
The seventy acres of Twinlakes Park has an Ice Skating Rink, Haunted Maze, Wild Animals, roller coaster rides, Falconry displays, domestic animals, play zones, live entertainers and literally much ...
more. In fact there doesn’t seem to be anything missing for a full family day out. Also most of the action is undercover so you can sample everything from negative gravity on their swings to admiring the monkeys without any weather worries.

I loved it here and we have now been 3 times since October 2011. Prices very reasonable because once u are in the park their is plently to keep little ones going all day. Farm area, mazes, fair rides, large slides indoor and out. 3 Fantastic indoor play areas one with mini ice rink too :)
I visited with my hubby and 2 toddlers but me and my hubby had fun too esp. on indoor 'free fall' slides as i call them :) My boys will love it here till they are both about 10 as plently for older kids too. ps. Dry picnic areas too.

winter wonderland

we won a family ticket to twin lakes winter wonderland. so my husband, myself and my 19month old set out to see santa. Apon arrival we saw te reindeer which were beautiful and very excitign as ive never seen reindeer before. Thw whole place was decorated with trees, snowmen, snowglobes and twinkle lights. We paid the additonal £3.95 to see santa and to have a gift. To meet santa we walked through a beautifully decorated wonderland which was covered in penguins, reindeer, trees and twinkle lights. We had a professional photo taken which was optional to buy £6 for a photo or £8 for a snowglobe, they also had keyrings and sets. we also took photos with our own camera which was allowed :)
As it is the middle of Decemeber it was very very cold so spend most of our time in the indoor section, the famr yard was full of the usual suspects, pigs, sheep, horses etc etc. They had bunnys, and meerkats, peacocks and bird.
in the gift shop was pot painting and gingerbread decorating which had to be paid for, our daughter is a little too young so we didnt do this.
in the American zone, was a mini town and a buffalo ride, a mine and loads of other american related activitys, the Cafe there is very resonably priced £1.40 for a coffee and 70p for a mars bar. we ended up leaving early as our daughter tripped in one of the mini houses in the town and bite her bottom lip causing it to swell and bleed. Their was a first aid post but we didnt need medical help.
Over all we had a fantastic time out, some places were out of reach with a buggy which was a shame, The park is clean and tidy. Staff were very polite and friendly. a great day to be had. definatly coming back when its warmer.

Haloween/ Bonfire Bonanza

We were lucky enough to win tickets to go to Twin Lakes for the Haloween Special and we had BEST time! Its was amaizing all the extra effort they had put in to make it more scary! I class Twin Lakes as an Alton Towers for little people as ALL the rides are accessable & if you choose a rubbish weather day to go-No problem as the indoor areas(there are 2) are just as good as the rest of the park. If you are lucky enough to go on a sunny day then there is an amaizing outdoor water park! We enjoyed it SO much that this weekend we went again for the Bonfire/ Firework display and that was just out of this world and definitly highly recommended!!!

First time at Twinlakes.

We visited Twinlakes for the first time last week and I have to say that it will definitely not be the last. I have a 4 year old boy and a 9 month old baby boy and they both thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was Halloween weekend when we went and they had really put a lot of effort into making it 'scary'!!
We weren't expecting to be able to take our 9 month old on anything but then found inside one of the barns that there was a soft play area which he loved. He also like the farm and enjoyed seeing the goats running over the bridge that we were stood underneath! My 4 year old loved both the indoor and outdoor rides. They were perfect for his age. We couldn't get him out of the indoor adventure bit!!
All of the staff seemed really nice and welcoming. We took a picnic with us but from what we could see from other people buying food there it looked nice.
They have just built an outside water park. It has slides, an area for toddlers and sunbeds. It wasn't open when we went as it's obviously too cold but I imagine it would be brilliant in the summer.
We will definitely be going back.

Great day out for Rain or Shine!

We visited Twin Lakes early in summer 2010 and I cant wait to go back. It was our first visit to this park (although I have visited its sister park in Farnsfield).
We had a fabulous day as it really is a mix of outdoor rides and indoor play places, there is one area with some giant slides! (there are some smaller rides indoors). This means that if it wasnt very warm or it was raining you can still have fun. There are some larger rides to keep older children entertained but I think its mainly aimed at children under 11. Plus there are some farm animals at one end of the park which my Daughter loved, and a reptile house. The staff were friendly and we really enjoyed our day. There are plenty of places to eat and also picnic benches for eating outside if the weather is nice. There was plenty of toilet facilites and good car parking.
We went in term time so the park wasnt very busy at all and it meant we got to use all of the facilities. It may get a bit buiser at weekends and holidays.
I cant remember how much we paid for our tickets but I know I was pleasantly surprised I got change for £30 for 2 adults and three children.
We are definitely going again and I really would recommend it to all families with young children.
