Gambado Chelsea overview
Gambado Chelsea is one of London’s biggest soft-play areas for kids. Gambado offers an extensive play frame that consists of numerous levels, ladders, slides and ball pools distributed about a ...
colossal rectangular frame. There are quieter areas for babies and toddlers, as well as activities for older children such as face painting, wall climbing and laser games. All the equipment is designed for parents and family to join in the fun too! To set Gambado apart from other establishments, they have managed to fit Dogdem Cars and an authentic colourful Carousel inside the building. Chelsea Gambado has a wide variety of food and snacks in the ‘Yum Yum Cafe’, including healthy options and organic baby food. Bottle warming is available and the cafe can cater for children with allergies. Free Wifi, papers and magazines make this a comfy place for a break. There are two baby change rooms, and everything is ground floor for easy access, with no stairs to have to lug buggies around! Due to the sheer size of the place, Gambado runs a strict registering policy, in order to maintain child safety. New visitors need to register, which can be done in advance online.
Birthday party at Gambado

We went to a friend’s birthday party at Gambado Chelsea and the kids loved it. The mega climbing frame/soft play resembles a play labyrinth and the area literally towers above you; the kids were very impressed. They do have a number of other activities here, but our kids didn’t need anything other than the climbing frame and none of them were interested in the horse carousel! We didn’t try the café as we had a birthday tea, but the menu appeared to have some healthy options for kids. There is a tumble area at the bottom of the play frame for babies and toddlers. Our kids loved the slides inside the play frame best!

Chelsea Gambado is absolutely huge. It is so big an entire Carousel fits inside the building, and the Dodgem Cars, which are very popular. In fact the soft play and climbing frame is so big our three year old found the maze of levels very overwhelming and became distraught when she lost us. That said this is a fantastic soft play area for slightly older children; ours disappeared instantly, only reappearing periodically for a quick juice. It is quite pricey, but you could easily spend most of a day in here; families should also note there is a one off payment of £5 to register.
