Apsley House overview

still be seen. They are housed at the most prestigious address in UK : Number 1, London otherwise known as Apsley House. It’s the lovely Georgian mansion just across the road from Hyde Park, on the corner of Piccadilly, and its worth braving the traffic to see its silver, porcelain, wonderful furniture, famous paintings and sculptures. It’s not really for the little ones or even the big ones. who would almost certainly prefer the other side of the road, but it is open most days and there are scheduled family events which will at least give you the opportunity of savouring a little of the elegance of a bygone age.
