Clissold Park overview
Clissold Park is one of the most family friendly parks you can imagine and a real treasure for the local community. It’s small but perfectly formed, with a play area and paddling pool for the kids, an aviary and a wildlife enclosure with deer, goats and rabbits. There’s a lake with ducks to feed, benches for worn out parents to relax and a café in the Mansion House with plenty outside ...
seating. Lots of events take place in the park, with a One o’clock club for toddlers, sporting activities, and an organic market garden, which holds the weekly Stoke Newington Farmer Market.

Clissold Park has recently been redone with lottery funds and has been turned into a haven for babies, children and teenagers. They keep deer, goats and birds which children can get close to and there is a beautiful butterfly dome to visit too. The entire park is great for strolling round with a buggy - the 2 large ponds have been cleaned and they used the earth and silt from them to create a fantastic adventure playground as well as a skate park for older kids. The cafe offers great British grub and is located in the beautiful Georgian house which has been fastidiously restored to its original state. There is also a childrens garden round the house which is great for babies and a smaller cafe where you can grab a tea, coffee or ice cream. This is a truely wonderful place to visit.
