CupCake is a recently opened private spa and club catering for new & expectant mums who seek indulgence, pampering & nurturing. Located near to Wandsworth Park on the cusp of Putney, its modern exterior houses a true gem inside. The interiors are very funky and cool with chic wallpaper, gilted mirrors & inviting armchairs. The staff are friendly and accommodating and there’s even a mumscierge service providing local help and advice tailored for busy working mums. As you enter there’s a large café area which is the hub of the building with the most scrumptious cupcakes to devour. The place is brimming with well to do mothers and expectant ladies & is the perfect place to meet and socialise in. Alongside is a room with fathers and babies bobbing to the baby disco. It’s well worth a view, even if it makes you chuckle! Upstairs is a luxurious yoga/pilates studio lavishly decked out. I can’t help put spot the most fluffy and gorgeous towels ever which are far too inviting! There are a host of classes available to members and is a beautiful venue to relax & stretch in. There are personal trainers available who are experts in ante and postal natal health. Then there’s the spa, which must be one of the best I’ve tried in London and the best news is that it’s open to everyone. I tried the massage on the hydro-bed which is particularly tailored for pregnant ladies as you can have a full body massage without lying on your stomach. The therapist massages your back by placing their hands underneath your back and working with the weight of your body against the water bed underneath – genius! The oils used are so relaxing and you instantly forget that your little one is probably doodling all over the hallway back home I also had a ‘Breath of fresh air’ facial which ends in the most gorgeous oxygen mask that smells of across between marshmallows and citrus fruits. Divine! I felt as if I had a new face afterwards. My weeks of sleepless nights magically disappeared. Whilst I didn’t use the crèche, I had a peek inside the Mini cupcake club and was really impressed. It’s well equipped with toys galore and caters for children up to the age of 5. I left feeling both invigorated, energised & ready to face the music of my toddler back home! I’d definitely recommend this to my friends.
