Victoria Gallery and Museum overview
The Victoria Gallery and Museum is part of the University of Liverpool complex and has benefited from many prestigious donations over the last century. The collections are wide ranging and include ...
everything from reptile fossils to Gainsborough and Turner paintings. The children may be especially interested in the colourful collection of watercolours of birds by Audubon, a famous American painter. This is the largest collection of his paintings outside America. On the last Saturday of every month The Victoria Gallery and Museum has a family workshop, aimed at children from 4-10 years. During the session artists explain their work and let the children gain a little hands on experience. Details can be obtained from their website
