The Pottery Cafe overview

It’s a nice idea, having a morning coffee as your kids try their imaginative hands at decorating a piece of pottery, which is then fired for collection later. They will certainly enjoy themselves ... under the careful guidence of the resident pottery artist. Slight drawback is the cost because you have to pay for the workshop session and for each individual masterpiece your child creates. However the coffee is good and for its a lovely experience for the children.

This is a fantastic idea to catch up with a friend for a coffee whilst occupying your child! The cafe provides you with the basic pottery and everything you need to paint them. The staff member (Naomi) working there was very friendly and explained clearly what we needed to do. The infant (niece) I went with was a little to young to create any masterpieces but she really enjoyed herself. The adult I went with enjoyed herself even more and did create some masterpieces! The only negatives about this place is that it is quite expensive. Each person must pay to be there and then you must pay for each piece of pottery - the cheapest was a small cup at around £8.
