Great Yarmouth Sealife Centre overview

They used to be called Aquariums, but as they got bigger they metamorphosed into Marine Worlds and Sealife Centres. Great Yarmouth Sealife Centre is one of those bigger ones where the whole family ... can walk through underwater tunnels and watch the brightly coloured fish dart in and out of the sunken wrecks and ruins. And of course there is a shark, which just happens to be Britains largest. Why is he called Nobby? You will just have to come to and find out! A new feature is on Jellies, those annoying tropical jellyfish, which have recently appeared in British waters. At the end of your visit there is well-stocked shop to browse through and a restaurant for a meal or a snack, which just happens to be next to a soft play centre!

Dissapointed

£10.95 per adult for an hours walked around a grubby dirty sealife centre. We were very disheartened, especially after being to sealife centres before and finding them fantastic. Despite that, there was a varied display of animals. Shows and things for children to do but I really think the price should show a reflection in the small exhibit area and a special effort should be made. A massive well-priced shop and coffee shop and a soft play area. Doubt we will return but if given cheap tickets may do so.

Underwater wonderland

We visited the Sealife Centre with our young son who seemed to love the experience. encounter rays upclose and watch majestic jelly fish. There is an amazing shark encounter and the cheeky penguins. It's a small centre but with lots of creatures of the deep to see. The gift shop has many sovenirs to choose from and there is a soft indoor play area and restuarant. Hands are stamped for re entry too so you are able to return if you wish to see a talk that you may have missed. Children of all ages will enjoy the spectales of the sea.
