Manor Road Park overview

The Manor Road Park in Wantage is a great place for kids of all ages, with so many different activities for everyone to enjoy. In the summer months they have a paddling pool for the little ones, and ... all year round they have a swing area, tall slide and roundabout for older children, along with tennis courts and a golf course for teenagers and adults. There is also a large bandstand, which is nearly always vacant and kids of all ages will enjoy running around inside or just playing on the steps. Manor Road Park is very spacious and set on quite a steep slope, so kids and adults of all ages will enjoy racing up the hill though many won’t make it to the top without stopping at least once! If you just fancy a walk to enjoy the scenery, Manor Road Park has a very large free car park and there are public toilets but no baby changing facilities.

Tiring Fun

As the sun had decided to come out for a while and we were visiting family in Wantage,we all headed over to the Manor Road Park in Wantage for a run around. There's free parking and a large car park which leads straight onto the large open fields. There is a large slide, round-a-bout and swings for older children and a paddling pool for the younger ones, unfortunately the paddling pool was empty due to seasonal closures but will be good fun in summer. They also have tennis courts and golf course for adults to enjoy. My little one had great fun running up and down the steps and running round and round inside and on the bandstand before racing us all up the steep hill to the top of the park,it was then we all realised that kids really do have more energy than us adults as they beat us to the top without any problems. Great fun for all and with all the fresh air and exercise you can almost guarantee a good nights sleep too. They have toilet facilites but no baby changing. When the sun comes out so does the ice cream vans which is always welcome and refreshing.
