WaterWorld overview

Sliding, swinging, spinning and splashing are all children’s favourites. Here at WaterWorld, the UK’s most popular Aqua Park, they can do it all and there is even a place you can swim! You can all slide together as a family to see who can finish first. There are shoots, flutes and whirlpools for the more adventurous, while the younger ones have their own sections with rides, waterfalls and ... splash pools aplenty. As it’s all indoors you also don’t have to keep an eye on the weather.

A wet day out!

We visited Water World in the Summer Holidays. I had booked tickets online and I was glad I had because the queue was massive - however our online booking gae us entry to the priority queue so we were into the changing rooms quite quickly. I paid £46.50 (+£1.50 booking fee) for a ticket for a family of 5, once we arrived I was given an £8 refund as 2 of my children were under 1m tall. The changing area was clean and there were plenty of cubicles and lockers. The pool area is massive and the water is warm - there is a main swimming area, lots of flumes as well as a space bowl and a dinghy ride. There is a smaller splash area for the children with smaller slides and water fountains. There is an outdoor pool too if you want to brave that! We really enjoyed our time there, but I would definitely say its a better place for families with older children as the rides all had height restrictions. It was also very, very busy! Another thing that would put me off visiting again is the food was of quite a poor standard - it was all deep fried and not tasty. If you have older children and are wanting to stay all day this maybe a fun place, but those with younger children may find it doesnt offer real value for money. You pay £1.50 for a locker token but only receive 50p back.

Water Fun

We love going to waterworld. We spent a whole morning and part of the afternoon here. There are plenty of attractions for all ages and the wave pool is hilarious. It is very warm in there so no chills that you usually get with being in water for long periods of time. The multi slide is great for having family races and the outdoor pool is very warm even though it was very cloudy. The slides and flumes are great fun even if you are dragged on them more than 5 times. There is a toddler area too which looked like fun. The food and drink was reasonably priced and there were lots of themed foods and treats. We had to drag our 5 year old away but would go back again and again.
