Thorpe Park overview
The names tell it all! 'Tidal Wave', 'Slammer', 'Rush'. 'Colossus' 'Nemesis Inferno'. Here you will find the granddaddies of all roller coaster rides, including Europe's tallest and fastest. Hold on ...
tight for the rides of your lives.
Not for young children

"The nations Thrill Capital!" As tagged by Thorpe Park. If you have older thrill seekers this is a great day out, however for those of you with smaller children I'd give it a miss. There used to be a small area of young children's rides - Octopuses Garden, however this has been removed to make way for a big water ride. Children under 1 meter go in for free - this would be due to them no being able to go on much! My little boy could only go on the carousel and ribena rappids. There were a few baby changing and feeding areas but on the whole not a place for families with only small children.

Thorpe Park in Surrey is a great place for children of all ages but particularly those over the age of eight. There are lots of ‘big’ rides at Thorpe Park, including SAW, Nemesis and Slammer. Our favourite though is Tidal Wave which is suitable for children over 1.2m high and where you sit in a large boat and speed down a steep hill landing in a spray of water which doesn’t only soak those sitting in the boat (getting wet on this ride is guaranteed!) but those watching if they are standing in the soak zone. There are lots of places to eat and drink in Thorpe Park, many of which have highchairs and bottle warming facilities, there are also lots of toilets and baby changing areas. It makes for a great day out for all the family.

Went as part of a large family group with cousins, aunts etc. It was a great park for older kids and teenagers, but it wasn't my favourite for my younger ones (1 and 4). There were a few rides for them, but the majority suited the older dare devils who could go on the age restricted rides. They did have facilities (baby change, high chairs etc) for younger kids and the food was typical of a theme park.
