Kingfisher Leisure Centre overview

The Kingfisher Leisure Centre, is perfectly situated in the centre of Kingston-Upon Thames, right next to a bus station, so quick and easy for transport links, as well as a public car park and only a ... 5 minute walk to the train station. The leisure centre facilities include, a gym with over 65 pieces of equipment, a steam room, a child friendly, beach-effect swimming pool plus learner pool, a cafe, squash courts and much more etc. There are also creche facilities available. So, you can choose to exercise as a family in the pool or by yourself in the gym or even taking one of their many classes. With a playground just past the entrance and picnic benches too, the Kingfisher Leisure Centre is a great place to spend an hour working up a sweat or spend the day with the children when it's rainy and when the sun comes out.

Like being at the seaside.

Visited with: Infant
After a shaky start, we had a fabulous time with the little man. Unfortunately, the hubby and I went when it was quite busy, so had to wait for 20 minutes before being allowed to go in to swim, as they have limited numbers in the pool. The teaching/baby pool was also entertaining a birthday party, so the main pool was busier than normal, but worth remembering for when the wee one has a birthday. Pick your days wisely, during the holidays. Once in though, there are nice, clean changing rooms, big lockers to get all your stuff in and the swimming pool is like an indoor beach... To top off the whole experience, it has a wave machine as well! My infant in his float, had a ball when the wave machine started. It also has permanent animal statues that squirt water too. All in all, my little one had a lovely time and laughed all the time he was there - Until we had to take him out of the pool - He didn't want to leave!
