Physical Fun For Your Scallywags

Scallywags is an ideal place to take your little ones to expend lots of energy particularly during those wet and windy days where your children would otherwise be acting like caged animals and consequently you quite possibly with them! It caters for children aged 9 and under and has good facilities for visitors with young children and babies including a child size toilet and footstools for children to reach the hand washing facilities
One thing we particularly like about the Centre it its open layout, which makes it relatively easy to locate the whereabouts of your children. Also there is a signing in/out book and only one exit point with a high lockable gate so any potential escapees can be quickly spotted!
The centre has an allotted area for under 3’s that consists of a ball pit, a ramped climbing area leading to a slide, a tunnel, large soft building cubes and two wall mounted sliding puzzles. Our toddler seems to have a particular fascination for the latter and spends considerable time sliding the pieces about. He also loves to stand on the edge of the ball pool and has great fun launching himself in to it.
The main area where the over threes play is on two levels. It has a multiple lane slide, a tube slide and a perspex capsule where the children can look down over the seating area and wave to their parents and friends. Routes to the various areas are varied and numerous, providing children with lots of fun as they scramble though tunnels, over obstacles and make their way under the assault course of biff bashes and through revolving doors. They love chasing each other round the maze of obstacles and stop to have fun in the various parts of the main play area before moving on to the next. And, if you have two football mad children as we do then there is also a football/basketball pitch for them to have a kick about.
The Centre also provides (at an extra cost) several other attractions including: parties (with optional extras added on such as professional face painting), pottery painting (£6.50 upwards but this does includes a play within the price), make a teddy (£9.99 upwards and more if you want to dress it!), and various pound slot rides dotted about the area including a hurricane simulator for the older children.
Facilities include a café at which you can purchase reasonably priced snacks, drinks and ice creams. Hot meals for children are around £2.50 and the centre does cater for special dietary requirements such as: vegetarian, halal, nut, dairy and gluten free diets. There are plenty of high chairs and also a microwave should you need to warm baby food.
At the end of your visit here why not take the opportunity to browse the shops on hand and shop till you drop assuming you have any energy left following your visit to Scallywags!
