Great On Sunny Days

Fishers Farm Park has a great array of outdoor activities for children, but its not really the place to go if its wet - especially when paying full price. The small animal barn and soft play areas only holds so much entertainment! In dry weather there is a fantastic selection of activities to keep the children amused, including play areas, trampolines, and racing cars. A must visit for the summer holidays!

The best day out we've found so far! Great value for money!

I've only recently discovered this place and it's an absolute gem! I took both my children here recently and had such a brilliant day. The best thing here is that you pay at the entrance to go in and then that's it! There's no hidden extras, and even the food in the Saddle restaurant is really reasonably priced - I think my son's meals were about £3.50 each and mine was £6.25 and both were reall good quality. They gave the boys colouring pictures to do whilst we waited and the food came really quickly so there was no hanging around! I visited with a friend of mine who was a new mum and she was delighted to discover that there's a 'baby care centre' next to the coffee lounges with a private area for breast feeding - I thought this was a really nice thoughtful touch. There are so many rides to do here too and I was speaking to a lady with an annual pass who said that they are always changing things here and adding new bits. When I went there was a new Galleon Ship and sweet little tree houses. My boys loved Henry the enormous Shire horse and even got to RIDE HIM in 'pony rides'! They loved the Adventure Golf and skating rink but the best was the climbing wall I think! All in all I would say if you pay for a day out here it's well worth the money!

Great day out

We visited Fishers farm in the summer of 2011 and had a great time with our 18 month old. The farm contains a mixture of rides and animals and you cant get bored here as there is plenty to do. The barn theatre is well worth a visit as they bring on lots of animals to see up close and you can take a tractor ride through the farm to see all the animals. There are lots of play areas throughout the farm too - including soft play areas. Our son loved the jumping pillows and the ride on tractors. Tips - take a change of clothes and swimming gear if visiting in good weather as they have a splash pool. Also check out their facebook page as they often run deals on there (we got a buy one get one free deal). We ate lunch in the saddle rooms restaurant where they did a great picnic lunch for children which included a sandwich, crisps, grapes and a cake which was just right for our child. A great day out!

Winter At Fishers Farm

We've been in the summer however have decided a couple fo times to try this place during the winter and have loved it. We have choosen to go on a week day and have pretty much had the run of the place to ourselves. All the rides are still open although you might have to wait while they change over rides but it does mean no queueing! Do wrap up warm though! And do make sure you have a hot drink or something like with you as it can get a bit bitter in the winter. It is however great fun and we spent the whole day there with two very exhausted children!

varied attractions for all ages

This farm offers more than the average activity farm, and there's plenty to keep young people active and entertained. My toddler loved the bumper boats, though the queue did get long at one stage. Take a tractor ride around the park, or for a thrill there are bullet trains which take you very fast around bends! In summer there's a 'beach' area with water splash fun, so take the swimming gear just in case! Plenty to do inside, too, with two indoor soft play areas, cafe, etc.

Fishers Farm Park

We went here on a pre-school trip and found it to be a great place to take the children. There is so much to do, in fact, I don’t think we managed to do everything as we were really spoilt for choice. The highlights for my daughter (who is 4) was the splash pool area with water jets, the Toboggan Run, although you need a lot of energy to roll the doughnut to the top and not to forget the huge jumping pillows. My son (who is 2) loved the Jolly Jumbos play area where he could fire softballs from cannons at daddy, this kept him entertained for ages!! He also loved the merry-go-round which is ideal for toddlers. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, the facilities are excellent and there are lots of eating places and picnic benches around the farm. It is well worth packing a picnic and spending a whole day here. Highly recommended!

Excellent day out!

We went with friends and had a lovely day out. The kids were ages 5 to 8 and they loved everything there. The lighthouse slides were a big hit, as were the bumper boats (bit of a queue for these). My son loves jumping so had great fun on the jumping pillows and trampolines. There was a long queue for the barrel bugs, as the ride doesn’t hold many children, so we didn’t wait for this one. We ate our sandwiches on benches near the lighthouse slides so the kids could run around once they had finished. It was a bit cold for the paddling pool so we gave that a miss but it looks like it would be great on a hot day. Refreshment and toilet facilities were excellent. Couldn’t fault the place really, highly recommended.

Fishers Farm Park

We had a lovely time at Fishers Farm Park. There is lots to do for children of all ages (they recommend it for 2 – 11yrs) and certainly more than you can fit in during one day. We started with the Alpine Adventure which includes a toboggan run, the Summit Plummet climbing tower and a very slippery ice rink. My son (7ys) loved the toboggan run best and didn’t want to leave it. We moved on to the inflatable jumping pillows and adventure golf, followed by a ride through the haunted ghost tunnel (perhaps a little bit scary for the younger ones). For lunch we took a picnic but there are plenty of cafes and kiosks to buy food and drinks if you need to. At certain times each day there are shows in the theatre such as ‘meet the animals’ and the ‘magic show’. We chose the magic show which was very funny and a good chance for the kids to have a rest for half an hour. After lunch it was on to the pedal karts and lighthouse slides and the very cool bumper boats. If it’s a hot day there is a small water play area with fountains so take the kids swimming things. If it rains there is plenty to do inside including visiting the animals and several soft play areas. We were really impressed with the park. It was clean and tidy and has a friendly, safe atmosphere. We will definitely be going back again.
