Kidz About overview
Kids just love sliding, climbing and throwing themselves about. The great attraction of soft play areas such as this enormous one in Swindon is that it is ultra safe. The little ones and not so ...
little ones will be able to expel all that surplus energy in an amazing variety of fun ways. The very little ones will be able to bond with other very little ones in the separate toddler area. Meanwhile the very big ones can enjoy a coffee and a chat in the pleasant central cafe, keeping a watchful eye on proceedings.

We went early on a Sunday morning and it was great for the first hour, quite quiet and plenty of places to sit down. By late morning though it was getting quite busy and there were a few birthday parties going on. This doesn’t really affect the older children but can be quite daunting for the younger ones. Though there is a toddler area this does get crowded at peak times and the general noise in the building is louder than I would like making it hard to relax. Good selection of hot and cold food and jugs of squash available. Great place for the kids to run around and get some exercise.

Located on an industrial estate just outside Swindon, Kids About is a great place to take the kids to burn off some energy. For the under fives there is a large enclosed area with small play frame, slides and lovely soft padded floor. For the older ones there is a huge play frame with several slides, including a tunnel slide and a very steep dropslide too. There is also a football/basketball pitch with soft balls, though this area can get busy at times. They are very strict on not bringing your own food in, even to the extent that they took my son’s drinks bottle away for the time we were there. The café is good and serves a selection of hot food and snacks. You can get toast and marmite sandwiches as well as the usual crisps and chocolate. The coffee is starbucks which is a treat for the grown ups. There are many tables to sit at and quite a few comfy sofas too. Playing time is limited to 2hrs at the weekend but we found this was long enough for us.
