Diggerland overview
Let's face it getting behind the wheel of a big tractor is every kid's and errrhm Dad's dream! Where else can you get the chance to operate some of the noisiest and dirty machines around, from JCBs ...
to giant diggers and mobile cranes. You even get the chance to race in them! Just make sure Daddy doesn't get too excited and forget to leave the kids behind!
What a rip off ! Dont waste your money like I did ;(

Cost me £17 each for 2 adults and 1 2 yr old ! never before have i paid entry for a 2 yr old ! especially when he couldnt really go on anything! so cost £51 just to get through the gate , got inside realised not suitable for 2 yr old as the only thing he could go on you had to pay extra for ! and Ive seen better rides in Morrisons! Chip buttys £3 , burgers £5 need I go on! came straight back out when I realised my son couldnt go on anything but coin operated rides and asked for my £51 back only to be told its not company policy by a very rude manager ! Not happy and wont be going back !

If your children love trucks and diggers this attraction is definitely going to be a hit.
The name pretty much says it all, it's a fun-filled land of diggers of every type.
Entry isn't cheap at £15.00 (for those 3+), £7.50 (for those 65+) and free for children under 3 years of age. It seems a reasonable price as all of the attractions are free. However, not many parents were making use of the digger activities and therefore £30 for both parents is quite excessive.
The area isn't huge but there is plenty to do; a mini car racing area, dodgems, a huge fairground type digger ride plus various kinds of diggers to try out.
Although the website says that some items are suitable for children under three, we found (with a two-year-old) that it was probably a bit too soon to justify the £45 spend for the three of us. He only went on a couple of things and the attractions he were interested in (ie. the bigger and more exciting looking ones) he wasn't old enough to ride on. This was even with adult supervision.
Toilets aren't particularly clean unfortunately and they have that horrible stale toilet stench. Baby changing facilities are pretty much the same.
The shop is quite large and excellently stocked with items such as JCB toys, to books to Bob the Builder merchandise.
An expensive day out for us, we didn't really get our money's worth and then spent a ton on all the attractive gifts in the shop. If you have children of 5+ I would thoroughly recommend Diggerland. If not, I would wait until they are a little older to get full value for money.

I visited Diggerland at the weekend for the first time with my family. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day. All the rides are extremely accessible for children of all ages. Safety is taken into account on every occasion and there is a great variety of rides. My kids\' favourites were definitely the mini-dumper trucks and the large JCB \'spinner\'......great fun! The only negative aspect of the Yorkshire Diggerland is that there is not a great variety of food to be purchased so best to bring your own picnic or pack lunches.
