Play Arena overview
Who better to design a play centre than a mother? Sheffield’s number one family entertainment centre, The Play Arena is a big hit for mums, dads and the children, which is popular with locals and ...
visitors alike. The Play Arena has been designed and crafted with the needs and demands of children from birth to teenage years. There is a separate baby area close to the specific toddler area with a rotating large octopus for little ones. Accolades have been awarded to the Play Arena for its Comfyland Experience™ - an award-winning educational interactive space for children aged from one to six years. For older children there is a supervised arena kart track as well as a rollerslide, air-cannon shooting range, sports area and a four-lane astra slide with crawl tubes and spiral slides. It’s fun, fun, fun at the Play Arena in Sheffield.
Big venue and big on play

This must be the best play centre I’ve ever been too quoted my husband on our first visit to Play Arena near the Bramall area of Sheffield, and he has been to quite a few. This is not your standard play centre. First it’s large with a separate area for under ones, another for children aged three and under. There is also an interactive, stimulation space with child-friendly computers, go-karts and an all singing and all dancing soft play space for older children. We visited during peak time at the weekend and still found a car space in the onsite car park, paid just under £12 for my three and five year old children and two adults. Despite it being busy we did manage to find a seat and with the aid of a TV screen in the seating area showing real-time footage of the various different play areas, we were able to keep abreast of the location of our children. The go-karts for older children do incur an additional charge of one pound a go yet you do get at least five minutes and they are managed by a member of the Play Arena team to ensure no one if too heavy handed. Food is standard with the usual refreshments and dishes available. When we visited our children only had time for a Slush Puppy each as there was too much for them to explore and play with to eat. A great place Play Centre for children aged three years and above. If you do have younger children it still has excellent facilities yet if I was with a baby I’d probably find a small and cosier venue.
