Bateau Mouche, Paris

Bateau Mouche overview

Taking a Bateau Mouche is possibly the best way to see nearly all the ‘must see’ sights of Paris with children. Slowing gliding along the Seine past Notre Dame, under the Pont Neuf and up to the Eiffel Tower, especially on an evening cruise with the facades all floodlit, will definitely delight the kids. The company have been operating for over 50 years and offer all sorts of cruise types ... from dinner cruises, to quick ones where you can take along your own croque monsieur and buy hot or cold drinks on board.

Going on the Bateau Mouche in Paris is a great way to see lots of the sights of the city from the River Seine. When you get on the boat you can either sit inside or outside and there is a little bar there where you can get drinks and snacks. You can see lots of sights from the boat including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum and the Notre Dame Cathedral and you get a running commentary as you are going along. There are lots of boats running every 15 to 20 minutes and you can get good deals on tickets if you shop around – it is well worth going on.
