If you’re in Cornwall then why not take a trip to Helston for a family day out where you’ll find an abundance of great child friendly places to take your little ones. Being so close to the sea Helston is the natural home to the UK’s National Seal Sanctuary where you can get up close and personal with these amazing underwater mammals. The sanctuary is also a home to sea lions, penguins, otters and numerous other animals although one animal you won’t find here is a camel. To see camels you’ll have to head to Cornish Camels where they have a group of these friendly hump-backed beasts which you can sit upon and have your photo taken for an unusual family friendly trip. And if your kids aren’t interested in animals from our own world then perhaps they’d like to try and spot others from another world at Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station which offers family friendly tours of this huge satellite and a fun introduction to the work that goes on there.
