Animal lovers should head to the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust named after its famous founder naturalist and author Gerald Durrell. There they house an amazing variety of species sheltering them from possible extinction. From gorillas and bears to boa constrictors and iguanas, you can see some of the most rare and remarkable creatures in the world. For great views of the whole island head to Mont Orgueil Castle which is located on the east coast of Jersey and sits above the town of Gorey offering a unique perspective. The castle was originally built to repel a French invasion and is an impressive site with great exhibits which tell its own history in a family friendly way.
