Legoland Windsor

We visited LEGOLAND and found that it is tailored to a younger audience than many of the other big theme parks; in fact, a read through the park brochures tells you that this unique family theme park comprises over 50 interactive rides and attractions, as well as building workshops, driving schools, live shows and events – all aimed at children aged 3-12 years. The setting in the heart of the Berkshire countryside is impressive. On entering the park you are presented with a hill-top vista over all 150 acres that the theme park occupies. Although this was my first visit to LEGOLAND, I remarked to my wife that there was something familiar about the view. I later learned that the park has been built on the former site of Windsor Safari Park, where I spent many a great day out as a child.
The rides occupy around 70 acres so there’s plenty to keep you busy throughout the day. Given its size, we recommend that you research the weather for your day out here; you’ll be doing plenty of walking between rides and attractions so you’ll want to make sure that on wet days you take umbrellas or waterproofs and on hot, sunny days that you and the kids have adequate sun protection. Many of rides have long outdoor queues - even more reason to ensure that you are properly attired. You could of course avoid the queues by renting a Q-Bot, an electronic device that for £10 per person allows you a timed entrance to rides of your choice. Either way, it’s advisable that you arrive early to make the most of your day out at LEGOLAND. Legoland Windsor: RIDES & ATTRACTIONS > USEFUL INFORMATION > EVENTS >
