Family Days Out in Milton Keynes

There’s simply loads to do for a family day out if you’re planning to head to Milton Keynes. Bletchley Park is a really interesting place to start – not only are the grounds impressive and perfect for a stretch of the legs after any long car journeys, Bletchley also has a fascinating history of its own which you can find all about at its on-site museum. Bletchley was home to the famous Enigma code-breakers during the Second World War and their story is told at the museum as well as the revolutionary impact of some of their discoveries including the invention of the modern computer! For a totally different type of activity why not head over to Airkix an indoor skydiving and body flying centre where children of 4 years and up can experience the sensation of flying through the skies with the help of fully qualified instructors. And Woburn Safari Park is a must for families having a day out in the Milton Keynes area – probably the best animal park in the country, with a huge variety of beasts from around the globe, Woburn offers a unique chance to see them out in ‘the wild’. Drive-through safari routes through the animals’ enclosures are particularly exciting though you might have to kiss goodbye to your windscreen-wipers at the monkeys’ enclosure!
