Grampian Transport Museum overview
Grampian Transport Museum is a great venue to come and spend a day searching through. The exhibitions inside the main museum building for 2011 include the “Cars for the Future”, “Pedal Power” ...
and the “Coaching Era”. While outside there are exciting exhibits waiting to greet you, including a Tardis and a Scorpion tank. This upcoming season there are also many exciting events being planned including two family fun days, CycleFest (a brand new event featuring the bicycle), SpeedFest (returning for the second year, it features a selection of post 1955 cars), a Vintage Gathering and a week-long Sci-Fi convention. Many exhibits are climb-aboard, hands-on, or even ride on, which makes for great fun for the kids (or even those big kids we all know!). There are quizzes and treasure hunts for children as well so they will be begging you to let them stay for longer. With all of this to offer as well as a picnic area, free parking and a children’s outside play area, why wouldn’t you have an excellent day out at the Grampian Transport Museum; Alford?
