Kids loved it

This was a great experience for my 'thrillseeking' 8 year old brother! It started off with the scuba diver showing the equipment and then getting the child to get into it. Theres a seperate pool where the children learn how to use the scuba equipment, how to breathe properly and make sure they've got enough weights so they dont float back to the top! The children then get onto a platoform in the water, stick their head under and can see the sharks. The platform is only far enough down so they can put their head over the water if they need to. He had loads of fish swim past him and would sight a shark now and again. I watched from the tunnel and could see him clearly. When he got out he was over the moon and so excited! such a thrilling experience for him!

my little boy of 3 years loves this place. very resonable for parents to get in and think its free for under 5s. Get to see seals, starfish, sharks in the tunnel. can be busy when the schools are off. the cafe is very expensive but i think you tend to expect it in these kind of places. Gift shop is reasonable. x

expensive day out

we visited here with our sons then aged 1 and 3. We have also been a few times previous before our youngest was born. Theres really not a lot here. I guess its fine if your kids love sealife/sharks/fish. The actual section where the sharks etc are is in a tunnel and you can either walk around on stand on the conveyor belt. There is also a outdoor area with seals and they do feeding times and im sure they do a small show. I am also sure they have a snake here too, altho its in a room (i hate the things so didnt go looking! but i do recall being here a good few years ago and it was out with a staff member in an alcove area for pictures etc, but have thankfully never witnessed this again!) The toilets and baby change were nice and clean, the baby change wasnt that large but managable. The gift shop sells lots of sealife related items, mainly based at children. lots of cuddly toys etc but our son got a nice wooden jigsaw which wasnt expensive. It is however very expensive to get in and i think we were there an hour maximum. wouldnt be in a hurry to rush back.

Ridiculously overpriced for what you get.

If you put the price aside for a moment then this place is brilliant for visiting although I put it down in the days out catagory when it would be more accurate to describe it as a couple of hours out (at a stretch). There is very exciting fish, sharks, tortoises. . .you name it! and theres even a really cool convayer belt that goes round so you can see the shrks swimming about and the divers feeding them therefore if you have a child who loves fish and sealife then they will without a doubt love this yet unfortunately you cant take the price out of the equation and when you add it in it equals overpriced. At 12.50 for an dult and 8.50 for a child, at that price you would expect something that lasted all day and unfortunately that is where you would be wrong.
