Perth swimming pool

05 Feb 2013

I take my daughter swimming in perth at every opportunity i get when im not working, she loved it and we have been going since she was 12 weeks old. In the week, its lovely as its not very busy and sometimes you get the whole pool to yourself. Overall its clean, has changing facilities and staff are friendly and helpful. There is a child area, which my daughter loves but i find it freezing as there is only a tiny bit of water in (for safety reasons probably) but it gets so cold that i cant stay in there for too long. Overall i do recommend.

Perth leisure pool is a great day out for the family. i recetly visited with my daughter 4 and son 2. The staff were all frendly and helped alot as we were unsure where to go and get changed. the childrens pool is fantastic for both of my children as i feel comfortable that no harm will come to them. they have a small slide and there is also a baby area where was better suited for my son as it was very shallow water and small slides. we all enjoyed our day out thoroughly and there was even jacuzzi's which we could go in too!

Baby pool

22 Jan 2013
Visited with: Infant
Ive taken my daughter swimming regularly since she was 12 weeks old, and she is now 17 months old. The pool is a good size for her, and she has just started to go in the baby pool alone. The baby pool is a great size, with animals and water shooting out their mouths. Also a climbing frame and slide. The water is not very deep, about ankle height so it gets VERY cold for my daughter so she cant stay in the pool too long. But she loves it for the time she is in.

Splashing around

great pool for all ages with chutes, rapids and seperate area for younger kids although it would seem the swimming outside is very popular so is the rapids there was something for everyone and being a leisure centre there is saunas and a gym and other things you expect in a leisure centrewith family changing rooms available as well as single ones and lockers, usually they keep spare armbands and rubber rings for people who forgot to bring them, they have more than one fun pool as they have other pools for swimming lessons and those who want a relaxed swim, the cafe was fab and overlooked the pool

This pool has a dedicated toddlers adventure pool with various thing to play on, it also has a small shoot for younger children and a large pool which has an outside pool which is heated attatched, they turn the rapids on which is great fun, they have a waterfall you can go under and two flumes to slide down and a jacuzzi for over 16's as weel as trainer pools for learning to swim, the leisure centre has the usual gym, sauna etc and a lovely cafe overlooking the various slides and pools, the cafe is reasonable which plenty seating, the pool changing area has family cubicles and they keep armbands for anyone who needs some, there is a lifegaurd inside and out although swimming outside in winter is a strange but nice experience, outside the leisure pool there is a playpark with ample parking good day out as pool time is not restricted

Fun out of the sun

24 Aug 2012
Visited with: Child
Not the best leisure pool by far, in need of a facelift..However it does cater for all ages..A "jungle" themed slide, animals spouting water fun for toddlers though parents just have to stand and monitor or watch from the pool beside. A slide in the larger pool for toddlers which if the pool is busy can be jam packed. 2 flumes - full moon & half moon..over 5 ..wild water rapid, jacuzzi & flumes only on at certain times. small outside pool too..Also has childrens teaching pool and large training pool but only available to public swimming at certain times...Leisure suite too with sauna, steam room and small jacuzzi...Cafe upstairs serving selection of hot food and snacks and childrens lunch boxes, tho wear light clothing as it's hot upstairs. Plenty of parking outside and a lovely park if the sun is out...

Not the most exciting pool but still fun

21 Aug 2012
Visited with: Infant, Child
This pool is quite basic compared to other pools accross the country. They have a seperate under 8 area called the monkey jungle, which is seperate from the pool. Its great for small kids but as a parent its not much fun standing in an inch of water, freezing and showing off your entire swimming costume! There are two flumes which arent open all the time, a waterfall, jacuzzi's and outdoor pool. It ticks all the boxes for a fun day but if you've been to other more modern pools you'll probably be disappointed.
