There are many things on offer here for the kids, from play areas to a maze for them to get lost in. There are also one or two resident ghosts but they only come out on special occasions. For the older members of the family there is the Baronial Hall and the gardens to admire. The fine Victorian rooms are of especial interest and there is also a fine collection of paintings in its' gallery. A rather unusual attraction, which is also popular with the children, are the restored practice trenches, used to prepare soldiers for the ordeal to come in the First World War.
