Bryngarw Country Park overview

Bryngarw Country Park is owned by Bridgend Council and set in 113 acres just outside the town. Families can enjoy a large children’s play area, a lake populated with ducks, cycle paths, woodland ... walks, river walks and nature trails. There is also a large variety of exotic plant life, especially in the beautiful ornamental Japanese gardens, and plenty of wildlife like Red Kites and Buzzards. Regular events are held at the park, specifically aimed at families, such as Bat Walks and Guided Bird Watching. Facilities at the park include a visitor centre, an outdoor cafe that serves drinks and snacks, BBQ and picnic tables and ample free car parking. Visitors to Bryngarw Country Park are also welcome to visit Bryngarw Country House, which has also a restaurant but does not serve children’s meals.

Bryngarw country park is what it says on the tin. It is a country park located on the outskirts of Bridgend in the Garw valley. It has a small visitors centre, a cafe (which only opens during lunch time in the winter) and also it has bryngarw country house which serves fantastic gormet food and does weddings. It is a great place for walking along nature trails, and also cycling. It has a small area where there are lots of wooden sculptures for your child to enjoy and also a large play area with BBQ facilities. You can also site lots of wildlife including red kites. This is a great place to spend a summers day.

Lose yourself in 113 acres of countryside! This park just outside Bridgend has a large family play area and BBQ. It also has a lake where you can feed the ducks and a beautiful oriental garden to enjoy. There are miles of walks/cycle tracks through the countryside and information in strategic points allowing you to get the most out of the park. The park itself is centred around the country house which is now a restaurant but is an expensive option to eat but there is also an outdoor cafe which serves great food at cheap prices.
