An open space in the town
20 Feb 2012
Visited with: Child
We visited the park during our day’s trip to see the castle and walk the castle walls and found the park by chance. Bodlondeb Park is on the western side of the town and is easily reached by walking the castle walls. It’s a large open park with not just views of the castle; you’ll also be able to see the estuary. The play ground is fairly standard with a climbing frame, swings and slide. There isn’t a picnic bench here only park benches. It is also fairly windy here so you’ll probably need a good summer’s day to enjoy refreshments at the park Bodlondeb Park is a good way to get away from the crowds during peak season when the children need some ‘run around time’ following some sight seeing. There is lots of space for ball games and a woodland area to explore as well as being walled off from the main road – always a bonus with young children.
