Harlech Castle overview

Harlech Castle is synoymous with the song 'Men of Harlech' which makes this small town and large castle famous. The castle is very imposing as it is situated overlooking the town with stunning views ... of both the coast and the Snowdonia National Park. Vistors to Harlech Castle can enjoy on-site exhibitions and displays on the history of this castle. There are also guide books available in the gift shop so you can make the most of your visit. Other facilities at Harlech Castle are Pay and Display Car Parking and Toilets but please be advised that the nature of the design of the castle makes it unsuitable for pushchairs

Such an amazing castle in an incredibly beautiful little town. The castle can be seen for miles as you approach and offers truly panoramic views of the sea and mountains. Snowdonia is such a beautiful place and seeing it from the battlements of this castle really was just breath taking. The children absolutely loved visiting here - there is nothing quite like a castle to capture their imaginations. But of course, there are lots of steep steps and this really isn't suitable if you have a pushchair in tow. There isn't much car parking available but there are more places available in the little town, which is worth a visit in itself too as there are lots of lovely shops and some great places to eat.
