Cilgerran Castle
07 Oct 2011
Visited with: Infant, Child
Cilgerran Castle is a National Trust property, located near Cardigan in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
There is no parking available at the castle itself, but we were able to park easily in the surrounding streets. The entrance prices are reasonable, and our 2 year old was free to visit.
The castle is not large, and it didn't take us too long to look around. It's located on a hill with beautiful views over the surrounding area.
The lower open areas are easily accessible with a pushchair and the towers are accessed by stone spiral staircase. Toilets are available at the entrance.
There's lots of space for little ones to run around, although you need to keep a close eye on them as there are some steep drops and tempting places to climb.
It won't take up a great deal of time, but if you're in the area I would recommend a visit.
